Hi, I’m Austin Bishop

I am the owner and assisted stretching practitioner at Go Recovery KC.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies, more than eight years of experience as a personal trainer, and over two years of hands-on assisted stretching experience. I am certified through StretchLab and ISSA and have completed more than 2,500 assisted stretching sessions, backed by consistent five-star reviews.

When you visit Go Recovery KC, you will always work directly with me. You will not be passed from one employee to another or have to explain your goals, limitations, and problem areas to someone new at every appointment.

I personally monitor your progress, learn how your body moves, and adjust each session based on your individual needs. That consistency allows us to build a plan that supports long-term improvement in your mobility, flexibility, recovery, and overall quality of movement.

Whether you are dealing with stiffness, soreness, limited mobility, or simply want to feel and move better, I am here to help.

Come experience personalized assisted stretching at Go Recovery KC.

My Approach

PNF Stretching

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, or PNF stretching, is an advanced stretching technique that combines guided movement, gentle muscle contractions, and controlled relaxation. This approach helps the nervous system allow a muscle to move through a greater range of motion than traditional stretching alone.

I use PNF stretching because it gives each session a clear purpose. Instead of simply holding a stretch, I work with your body to identify areas of tightness, improve movement patterns, and gradually increase mobility and flexibility. Every stretch is adjusted to your comfort level, goals, and current range of motion.

PNF stretching can be especially helpful for people dealing with stiffness, limited mobility, muscle tension, or discomfort connected to tight and restricted muscles. By improving range of motion and reducing unnecessary tension, it may help you move more comfortably during everyday activities, exercise, work, and sports.

My goal is not to force your body into positions. It is to create a controlled, comfortable environment where your muscles and nervous system can relax, adapt, and move more freely over time.
